Kinda an obvious one, but we thought we’d include it anyway. Whether you fancy taking regal pictures in front of the palace Meghan Markle-style or yearn to marvel at the interiors of the royal residence, it’s all for the taking in the UK’s historic capital. Treat yourself to a tasty afternoon tea afterwards, too… pinkies up!

We hear the lady herself likes to quaff a glass of Champagne every night before bedtime and, honestly, we like her style. Prefer sampling the good stuff during the daylight hours? Head to Kettner’s Townhouse in Soho for a splendidly tipsy afternoon with friends (tiara optional).

The word on the street is that chocolate biscuit cake is The Queen’s favourite food of all time. Although the royal family all stick to an organic, healthy diet most of the time, Lizzy can’t resist this indulgent treat, which is made using Digestive biscuits and bitter dark chocolate as its main ingredients. It’s the easiest (and tastiest) way to live like royalty for the day.

Other dogs, humans and food? It sounds like a logistical nightmare yet it works perfectly – meet the pooches of Dog & Scone in Newcastle. As The Queen is a huge dog enthusiast, we couldn’t exactly write a royalty guide without mentioning them! Head to the toon and experience the cute characters for yourself – it’s sure to be a memorable afternoon!

The Queen likes to escape to Sandringham House in Norfolk for a bit of peace and quiet now and again, and who could blame her? It’s stunning! Make like her majesty and book a cheeky trip away to East England, it’s the perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

‘Err, what’s the connection between London Zoo and Queen Elizabeth?’, I hear you wonder. Well, throughout her reign, The Queen has received many animals as gifts. These exotic presents include a crocodile, two American beavers, six red kangaroos and an African forest elephant. Rather than keep the (rather impractical) creatures, the Royal Family have instead sent many to ZSL London Zoo to enjoy the rest of their lives.
