blog-post-image-radisson-blu-londonFind out what guest blogger and fellow Superbreaker Graeme Smith thought of his stay at the Radisson Blu Canary Wharf hotel in London during his recent trip to the O2 Arena…

In May me and a friend went to London to see a gig at the O2 arena and stayed at the Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Canary Wharf Hotel. We were very impressed with our choice.

Our influence to book this hotel was based on its relatively low price and location, as all we wanted was a bed and shower for the evening and to be near the O2 arena. As we arrived at the hotel we were both shocked to see how luxurious the hotel was. It was very modern throughout with fantastic views overlooking the Thames and we were immediately made welcome by the staff on our arrival.

After a quick check in process we were shown to our room, which was very spacious with 2 large single beds, full of gadgets such as docking station and TV (simple things guys appreciate) and a massive bathroom with a rain shower and bath.

Given that we were very near the O2 arena (15 minutes by DLR and tube) we had a drink in the hotel bar beforehand which as earlier mentioned had a fabulous setting overlooking the river Thames. Again the bar staff were exceptional and provided great service just as at the reception staff had done earlier. We enjoyed the bar so much we ended up back there after the gig rather than bars in the O2 complex.

After a good night’s sleep we went for my favourite part of any hotel experience, the breakfast! It was flawless in its quality and selection, with a buffet choice of cereals, pastries, cooked items, cheese, cold meats, fruits and pancakes served with teas, coffees and fruit juices. I must say I was in my element!

Feeling very full and ready to head home we checked out using the key drop facility but a helpful receptionist was also available.

Overall I was very happy with this hotel and would definitely use it again on another visit to the O2 or in fact if I visit London for any other reason.
