The Fifth series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent is set to air this Saturday night and is expected to draw in record numbers of viewers. Fronted by Geordie due Ant & Dec this year’s show sees a change to the judges with David Hasslehoff and Michael McIntyre joining Amanda Holden instead of Simon Cowell & Piers Morgan. Though previous judge Simon Cowell will be coming back to judge the live finals.

With a fresh dynamic in place and a new audition process a range of different acts have been put through the audition rounds, there have been less dance acts as in previous years and more young singers and illusionists. Last year’s Britain Got Talent saw a mixture of dance acts, singers and gymnasts perform alongside a dancing dog, drummer and comedian, with acrobatic group Spelbound winning the final.

Previous Britain’s Got Talent winners include opera singer Paul Potts, street dancer George Sampson, and Diversity. The show has also launched the careers of Susan Boyle, Flawless and Stavros Flatley. As with previous years the finalists will go on to tour the country in a live show, including a performance at London’s O2 Arena.
