Here at Superbreak we are always trying to make sure our hotel deals are great value and as perfect as possible. So when we recently discovered some new research on top gripes of UK hotel customers we were instantly intrigued.
According to the research that surveyed over 2,000 hotel customers in the UK, add-on costs such as Wi-Fi internet charges and mini-bar charges were found to be incredibly annoying. However, the biggest pet peeve of UK hotel customers was the additional charges for breakfast.
Apparently 32% of people claimed that breakfast charges were the most annoying hotel extra. The research also found that the average cost of a full English breakfast in most UK hotel’s came to £12.60pp with the average cost going up to £25-£30 in London hotels.
When we heard this news here at Superbreak we thought it was the perfect time to remind our customers that the majority of our hotel deals come with breakfast already included in the price! With the possible extra charge of £30 a day for breakfast, booking a short break with Superbreak could save you a pretty penny and still fill you up each morning.
What do you make of this research? Do you get annoyed by added hotel costs?
