This weekend sees the final of X-Factor take place, since it started in August millions of people have tuned in to see who will win the eighth series of X-Factor. This year the series has had plenty of excitement, with a new panel of judges, controversy over certain acts and even rumours that the results have been fixed. The final sees Marcus Collins, Amelia Lily and Little Mix fight it out for the title of X-Factor winner 2011, they will perform at Wembley Arena in front of a crowd of 10,000 people.
The final which takes place over Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December features an array of celebrity guests including Coldplay and Michael Buble, as well as X Factor success stories Leona Lewis, JLS and One Direction.
The winning contestant’s single will be released shortly after the final, usually in time to make the Christmas number one. The current X Factor Finalists 2011 single Wishing on a Star went straight in at number one in the UK charts, the song also includes vocals from JLS and One Direction.
If the X-Factor final is not enough then the following week sees the Strictly Come Dancing finals take place at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. With the semi finals this weekend the public get to decide who will make it through from the remaining contestants. Still left in the competition are Alex Jones, Harry Judd, Jason Donovan Holly Valance and Chelsee Healey. Previous weeks have seen the celebrities dancing to music from the movies, a Beatles-inspired dance routine and a Halloween-themed group routine.
Once the programmes have finished Strictly Come Dancing and X-Factor will both tour the UK in 2012. Will you be going to see either of these shows on the live tours?
