If you live in Scotland you might already be enjoying your day off, but elsewhere in the UK we’ve still got a few weeks to go until our Summer Bank Holiday. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t get started right away planning your August Bank Holiday break!
Monday 30th August is a bank holiday in England, Wales and Northern Ireland – meaning many of us who haven’t headed off on our holidays yet will be enjoying our first long weekend since way back in May. If that isn’t cause for celebration, I don’t know what is!
If you’re stuck for ways to spend the extra day off, we’ve got plenty of ideas here at Superbreak – whether you want to de-stress from the day job on relaxing beach breaks around the British Isles or get even further from the office by travelling to warmer climes abroad.
While jetting off is always nice, that’s not to say you won’t find loads of great opportunities to unwind or enjoy yourself closer to home. Check out our offers on theme park breaks to treat the family to a fantastic day out for less, while our dinner deals could be just the thing for lovers wanting to spend the lazy weekend dining out at a romantic hotel.
Remember there are lots of events taking place this month too, which could be great to get involved in over the weekend before recuperating on the Monday! The Leeds and Reading Festivals see some of the world’s biggest bands performing from 27 to 29 August, while the month-long Edinburgh Festival – kicking off later this week! – is the best place to see the country’s best comedy and artistic talent.
