We have composed a 48 hour trip plan of the must see sights in some of the UK’s best southern cities. Try out this whirlwind challenge for an action packed trip to get you out and exploring what Britain has to offer!
9.00am – Arrive in Oxford – Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque city centre and get your bearings.
9.30am – Visit the Oxford University Museum of Natural History – This fascinating museum is a must-visit for nature lovers and animal-enthusiasts alike. With so many collections to marvel at, there’s hours worth of fun to be had. You may even spot a dodo or two!
12.00pm – Afternoon tea at Old Parsonage Hotel – Sit back and relax in traditional surroundings and savour freshly-made sandwiches, fluffy scones with jam and clotted cream and delicate cakes and pastries – what could be nicer?!
2.00pm – Go punting along the river – admire the sights of the city at your own pace with a traditional boat ride. Just try to keep your balance!
3.00pm – Leave Oxford and head to London (Journey is approx. 1 hour).
4.00pm – Arrive at London Paddington Station. Be sure to get few pictures of the city before making your way to the hotel.
4.30pm – Check in at The Colonnade Hotel – This 4* boutique hotel is the perfect choice of accommodation when exploring the best of what London has to offer. Each room includes refreshments and internet access, meaning you can keep your friends updated during your trip!
5.00pm – Spot the many landmarks and points of interest on a relaxing stroll through the city. If you’re feeling competitive, make it into a game!
6.00pm – Have dinner at Planet Hollywood – Enjoy tasty American diner-style fare at this iconic London restaurant. Be sure to try the milkshakes too!
7.00pm – Head to the West End to see a show. Whether you’re in the mood for The Lion King or Wicked, Motown or Matilda, ‘theatreland’ really does have it all.
9.00am – Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Whether you fancy a full English, American-style pancakes or a continental selection, there’s something for everyone.
10.00am – Make your way to the London Eye. As you view the sights of London from up high, be sure to take plenty of photos and snap London from all angles!
12.00pm – Eat lunch at The Big Chill – Tuck into generously filled toasties and mouth-watering cocktails at this trendy city hotspot.
2.00pm – Leave London and head to Windsor (Journey will roughly take 50 minutes).
3:00pm – Arrive in Windsor. Take in the gorgeous scenery and stroll through the town until you reach your next attraction…
3.30pm – Visit Windsor Castle – Live like royalty for the afternoon as you explore the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world! As well as checking out the views, there’s plenty of exhibitions on at the moment to keep you occupied.
5.30pm – Check into The Macdonald Windsor Hotel – This 4* accommodation is perfect for those who want to be in the heart of Windsor near all of the key attractions.
6.30pm – Go for dinner at Mango Lounge – Tuck into a delicious array of curries and other specialities at this top Windsor restaurant.
7:30pm – Head to The Firestation Centre for Arts and Culture and enjoy a wide range of music, comedy, theatre and cabaret events. There’s plenty of exclusive events going on throughout the year, so be sure to check out their website for the latest news.
