The annual Christmas switch-on is one of those key traditions that lets you know it’s nearly here. From November 7th, Manchester will be aglow with all things Christmas. An amazing firework display kicks off Manchester’s Christmas celebrations along with not-to-be-missed special guest performances, including The Wanted and X factor’s Misha B! One of the most beautiful cities to visit at Christmas time (even if we do say so ourselves!) is York, and this year you can enjoy this winter wonderland from November 5th. On the 7th November at 6.30pm, the city’s Victoria Square will become a hive of bustling activity and entertainment, with live music performers, special guest celebrities, local sporting heroes, pantomime characters and Santa’s Showtime. It’s a great event for the whole family, with some pretty spectacular lights to match.
This year you can experience Edinburgh’s 12 Days of Christmas lights display in all its glory. From November 22nd, George Street will light up to the sound of rock choirs, army bands and finally, an incredible firework display.
