Springtime in the UK has already blessed us with some glorious weather with the impending British summer promising lots of sunny days too (fingers crossed!). Last weekend I took advantage of the good weather by dusting off my summer wardrobe and donning my trusty shades for a leisurely stroll round my local area. My little outing in the sun got me thinking… Britain is a pretty great place to be in the sun, and with so many events on offer this summer there’s no better time to celebrate the best of British than during the next couple of months.

So, what is on offer? Well, I’m glad you asked…

Trooping the Colour
14th June 2014

If, like me, you can’t resist a bit of military pomp and pageantry, make sure you don’t miss the Trooping the Colour this June. Celebrate the Queen’s official birthday at this very special annual parade in London promising spectacularly British displays at Hyde Park, Windsor Great Park and the Tower of London.

Cheer and wave your Union flag as the Queen leads her troops to Buckingham Palace ready to meet the rest of the Royal family on that world-famous balcony. To finish this century old tradition, you can ‘oooo’ and ‘ahhh’ with the crowds as the iconic Red Arrows fly overhead displaying colours of red, white and blue.

Beginning at the Horse Guards Parade, gather you and your compulsory British-themed merchandise on The Mall for front row views of Her Majesty the Queen in all her royal glory.

London Break Offer
Book 2 nights at the Imperial Hotel to London by 31st May 2014 and we’ll throw in river cruise for FREE! Prices for 14th June start from £126pp per stay with breakfast included.
