If you go to the vibrant city of New York here are a few moneysaving tips
Purchase a ticket for the Hop On Hop Off bus (they call it the HOHO) it takes you uptown and downtown and as there is so much to see in New York saves your feet and is cheaper than taxis.

Get a ticket for the Rockefella Centre rather than Empire State Building fantastic views and you can see the Empire State Building from the Rock.

If you are there for longer than a weekend buy a New York city pass which enables you to visit Empire State Building Observatory, American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Guggenheim Museum OR Top of the Rock, Statue of Liberty ferry OR Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise for approximately £60 great value.

As for food so much to choose from, we loved the Brooklyn Diner but you can have fun sampling all the restaurants yourself

I liked Amsterdam for it canals and for it’s hidden gem church of Our Lord in the attic among the red light district believe it or not

Do lots of research on the internet and print off the things you need in small print, this makes it much lighter and far cheaper than guide books, plus you only carry the bits that you need.

I always check trip advisors things to do section, some useful advice there… make friends with and ask the locals to recommend their favourite restaurants and things to do…. way to avoid tourist trap areas

My #SuperTips for a special weekend in Devon is to take the steam railway from Paignton to Kingswear. It’s scenic, picturesque and romantic, and excellent value for money. When you disembark at Kingswear there is a ferry that crosses the river Dart to Dartmouth and it’s a beautiful town, the naval college is stunning. The best time to go is in August at the annual Dartmouth Regatta. A grand day out!

Having poor mobility, I find out details about hop -on- hop -off buses and boats to see the city easily and without stress and exhaustion.
