‘We stayed at the Cadogan, Sloane Street – a wonderful family feel hotel but with lots of warm helpful staff this hotel has history and a beautiful old fashioned lift. This is a good place to be for shopping, Harrods just around the corner with plenty of eating places too.’

Oud Huis de Peellaert, Bruges
Set in the heart of medieval Bruges, the Oud Huis de Peellaert Hotel offers guests the perfect combination of classic and chic. Restored back to its former 19th century grandeur and located just a short distance from the main Market Square, this is one 4-star hotel in Bruges we recommend.
‘Our hotel room was brilliant, the staff were very polite. We were about 5 mins walk from the centre excellent location. We ate at the Ribs ‘n Beer Restaurant, you have to book in advance which we did and the food was out of this world – eat as many rack of ribs as you can! Bruges was wonderful, very quaint and very clean.’

O Callaghan Eliott Hotel, Gibraltar
For a bit of British sun (sort of anyway), the 4-star O Callaghan Eliott Hotel in Gibraltar is the place to be! With its very own rooftop pool – which rumour has it pop-star Olly Murs once used – you’ll be able to top up that tan in no time at all. The hotel itself is ideally located for discovering the main sights on the peninsula from the Rock of Gibraltar and its curiously friendly monkeys to spotting dolphins at sea!
‘After an absence of 25 years, we returned to Gib and found it as great as ever. Brand new airport terminal very swish, staff very helpful, easy stroll to the O Callaghan Eliott Hotel and what a lovely surprise that was. Our hotel was off Main Street, 7th floor room, so lovely views and our room was extremely comfortable and the restaurant on the 8th floor was wonderful. The sunsets over North Africa, the lovely swimming pool, the marvellous staff have all served to make this the best short break that we’ve enjoyed (so far).’
