Theme parks

Now the theme park season is well underway, you don’t need to travel far to enjoy a fun-filled day out at some of the UK’s top attractions – especially with our great deals on theme park breaks here at Superbreak that could be just the thing for keeping the family entertained on the May Day bank holiday!

Jetting off to Orlando to check out the latest rides at Walt Disney World or Universal Studios is all well and good if you can afford it, but don’t underestimate the fantastic opportunities that could be right on your doorstep at the UK’s own well-loved parks dotted across the nation.

Wild Asia at Chessington
Discover Wild Asia at Chessington World of Adventures

If you live near London, it’s a good bet you’ve already visited Chessington World of Adventures, but head back this year and you could be one of the first to explore the rides and attractions of Wild Asia, brand new for 2010. Chessington is a huge park with plenty to see and do for all the family, including its own Sea Life Centre, and you can make sure you have enough time to take it all in with help from our two night Spring Special Offer at a top hotel near the park.

The other big theme park in the area is Thorpe Park of course, which is increasingly earning a reputation among thrill-seekers thanks to terrifying attractions like SAW – The Ride and the new SAW Alive horror maze. Visit Thorpe Park before 6 June to take advantage of our Thrillseeker Special park and hotel offer, perfect for adrenaline junkies!

TH13TEEN at Alton Towers
TH13TEEN awaits thrill-seekers at Alton Towers

Those north of the border needn’t feel left out either, with our deals on the nation’s favourite Alton Towers all summer long. This is one park that never disappoints with its new rides, and ever since I grew into the height restriction and was able to ride Nemesis for the first time, Alton Towers has kept me coming back for more! This year sees TH13TEEN joining the park’s already-impressive family of white knuckle rides – when something is described as a “psychoaster,” it’s just begging to be experienced!

But if this all sounds a little too terrifying for you or your young ones, don’t worry – Superbreak also has a great Spring Special offer at Legoland Windsor which is perfect for entertaining younger kids, with the new Pirates Landing promising swashbuckling Lego adventures this spring!
