When we were founded way back in the 1980s we encouraged our customers to sneak in a mid-week break, with our ‘Sneak-a-Week’ deals offering 4 or 5 night stays at some of the most popular UK resorts. Thirty years on we still love the idea of sneaking in a short break, but with busy schedules ruling most working adults’ lives, we’re re-launching the idea as ‘Sneak-a-Weekend’ to coincide with our 30th Birthday celebrations.
With a range of offers on 1 and 2 night breaks in the UK and Europe, our Sneak-a-Weekend deals are the perfect way to squeeze in a short break without needing to take too much time off work. I’ve picked out some of our best breaks on offer to tempt you into sneaking off on a mini break.
Parsonage Hotel & Spa Break
Escrick, near York, England
Located around 6 miles from the centre of York the 3* Parsonage Country House Hotel is an ideal spot for a cheeky weekend break. On a Sneak-a-Weekend break to this hotel you can enjoy a one night stay, afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast as well as two spa treatments per person from just £99 each. I think this deal is the perfect treat if you fancy escaping the toils of working life and also appreciate a bargain. As the hotel is located a short drive from York you can also add in a spot of sightseeing or retail therapy during your weekend if you get bored of lounging by the pool!
Chester Dinner Deal
Holiday Inn Chester South, Chester, England
Another cheap weekend break idea from our Sneak-a-Weekend range of packages is the 2 night dinner deal at the 3*Holiday Inn Chester South. Chester is a brilliant location for a weekend break in the UK, with plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions to choose from including the award winning Chester Zoo. From just £60pp you can stay at the hotel for 2 nights, with dinner included on the first night of your stay. This is the perfect solution for those heading on a weekend break straight after work on a Friday, as after a potentially long drive you won’t have to worry about searching for somewhere to eat.
Thanks to the Eurostar, discovering Europe on a weekend break is easily doable. Travelling from London to Bruges takes around 3 hours, and with a vast rail network expanding across the UK, connecting to the continent on the train is hassle free. Now that Christmas and the New Year are long gone, I’ve started to think about how I’m going to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I’ve always wanted to visit Bruges so hopefully this will be the year I manage to get there! A 1 night Bruges Eurostar break from our Sneak-a-Weekend deals starts from £135pp. If you stay for 2 nights at the 3* Leonardo Hotel Brugge during your break you will receive welcome drinks, a box of chocolates and entry to Choco-Story, the Bruges Chocolate Museum – perfect for a romantic Valentines break.
