The 2nd March 2011 saw the launch of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s very own Royal Website, which is promising to share all the details in the run up to the Royal Wedding. In its first eight hours the site saw over 200,000 hits with views from over 180 countries and was launched the same day as the Government opened a web page for people planning Royal Wedding celebrations.
The site – officialroyalwedding.org – includes video footage of the couple’s engagement as well as a virtual tour of Buckingham Palace. There are even rumours that the wedding is to be streamed live on the site so that people all over the world can join in the Royal celebrations. It is planned to keep up to date will all news regarding the wedding and will follow the day’s celebrations as they happen.
So far the Wedding is looking to draw a huge crowd of people travelling to London to help celebrate this remarkable day. Hotels in London are filling up fast and people are beginning to plan their street parties well in advance of next months wedding and the double bank holiday break.
