Planning a wedding has to be one of the most stressful things a person can do. I’m currently planning my own and even though I’ve just started, I’m already pulling my hair out about getting everything done in time! Sometimes it’s the little things that cause the most hassle, so if there’s an easier way of getting things done, I’m there. It’s also supposed to be the happiest, most enjoyable experience you’ll ever have, and there are things you can do to make that a reality. “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail”, that’s what my mum has always told me, so making sure the lead up to the big day is perfect, and the days that follow it, is just as important as the day itself. Here at Superbreak we’ve got loads of ways in which we can help you plan, as well as making sure you have the time of your lives!
Hens & Stags
Let’s face it, for the guys this is likely to be the first thing that comes to mind when planning for the rest of your lives. However, as it’s a celebration of your final days before becoming man and wife, it is important that you do it right. Nowadays, there are endless options for both hen and stag parties on what to do for the special day or night. Instead of the usual night out, activity days have become a much more popular way to celebrate. For the guys, adrenaline fuelled parties such as paintballing, white-water rafting and go-karting are all the craze, and for the ladies, cocktail making, dance lessons and theatre workshops are becoming more and more common. We offer all of these, plus accommodation so you can make a real trip of it. Weekend breaks across the UK and all over Europe are still hugely popular too, and whether you want a city centre base where all you’re going to do is sleep, or somewhere luxurious where you can enjoy the facilities, there’s guaranteed to be something to suit your needs. I’m thinking of taking my hen’s salsa dancing!
Making sure all of your guests have somewhere to stay can often be a concern, especially if you have people coming from all over the place as I do! Thankfully, with so many hotels to choose from it’s easier than you might think. Regardless of where you’re holding it, there’s always going to be somewhere nearby that can house your guests. The likes of Holiday Inn, Travelodge and Premier Inn have a huge number of hotels across the country and are usually large enough to hold the majority of guests, with most including a good full English to start the big day off properly. If you need accommodation of five rooms plus or ten or more people our group’s team can make sure everyone’s staying in the same place. Travel can be a pain too so our rail and hotel packages can come in handy for those who don’t fancy driving. For European destinations we can also offer low-cost airline flights and ferry crossings to Holland and Bruges. Eurostar has also become a popular travel option to certain destinations.
Mini-moons are a new faze that seems to be taking the nation by force. Instead of taking a proper honeymoon straight after the wedding, many people have work commitments, children, pets and money worries that often make a full length break impossible. Taking a short break is much easier and means there’s a little more time to get the big one just right. Places I’ve never really thought of before have become more and more appealing to me when thinking about a mini-moon. Destinations like the French Riviera, Northern Spain and even the Channel Islands all look great places to rid yourself of those post-wedding blues and prepare yourself for the next stage in your lives together, and our huge range of flights and hotels around the world mean you can pretty much go where you want! The beaches in Jersey are pulling me in their direction. Peaceful, unspoilt and azure blue seas … perfect!
As overseas weddings become evermore common, our added extras have really come to benefit brides and grooms who are heading abroad. As well as the wide variety of hotels, extras like airport hotels, airport parking, and airport stopover accommodation take care of the little things that you might forget. I know people who have ended up paying a fortune to pay for car parking on the day simply because they forgot it, so to avoid any unnecessary stresses, pay attention to the small things too. Some of the hotels are out of this world, so if you are looking for a venue abroad you’ll have the choice of some really stunning options.
Pamper Breaks Pre-Wedding
Now every bride should be as relaxed and prepared as possible for her big day, but that’s much easier said than done. Spa packages have always been a popular choice for hen breaks but perhaps it’s time to take a day for yourself and one other, to really step away from all of the ‘weddingness’ and just forget it for a while. Have a facial so your skin looks radiant, have a massage so your body’s prepared to dance all night, and wash away all of your worries in the bubbly Jacuzzi. It’ll be the busiest and most emotional day of your life no doubt, so make sure you enjoy every second!
