Half Term is fast approaching and its time to start looking at how you can keep the kids entertained. February Half Term is probably one of the hardest as most of the popular theme parks are closed for the winter but fear not here are my top 5 ways to keep the children entertained this half term.

1. Dr Who at the O2

Step through a crack in time and join the Doctor on an adventure of a lifetime. Fend off Daleks and reunite the Doctor with the TARDIS while meeting some of the best-loved and scariest monsters from the show. Featuring a breathtaking 3-D finale and special scenes filmed with current Doctor Matt Smith this is a must for a fan of Dr Who of any age.

2. Alton Towers Feb Half Term

Although the full theme park isn’t open there is still a great selection of rides that are operating over the February Half Term. Air, Blade, Nemesis, Heave Ho, Marauder’s Mayhem and Sharkbait Reef by Sea Life plus many more family favourites will operate for this special Half Term opening.

3. The Lion King

The Lion King is still one of the most popular children’s films of all time and the Lion King Musical is one of the best loved West End classics. There has never been a better time to visit a musical as there are so many great family shows available. Hotels in London also offer some great family rates so why not combine it with a show and make a real trip out of it.

4. Tutankhamun – His Tomb & His Treasure

Manchester has welcomed the wonders of the Tutankhamun exhibition which showcases over 1,000 objects and brings a real piece of history to life. If you haven’t already been to see this fantastic exhibition you are really missing out.

5. Diggerland

Diggerland is a unique attraction that kids LOVE and it’s easy to see why. Diggerland features over 18 different rides, drives and attractions using full sized construction machinery. With adults and kids both having access to the machines it’s a fun day out for the whole family.

What are your top tips for keeping the kids entertained this half term?
