It’s that time of year again where we spoil our dads and make them feel like the special ones for the weekend. Most of the time my dad will shy away from any kind of attention, but I make sure that on Father’s Day he gets his well deserved time in the spotlight! If you fancy spoiling your dad with a special treat this year instead of the usual shower gift sets and Guylian chocolates (a staple last minute dad gift!) there’s plenty of exciting things you can book for him. Whether he loves a relaxing day on the fairway or a hysterical night of laughter, you’ll be sure to find something exceptional for Father’s Day 2014.
I’m not sure about yours, but my dad often likes to think he’s a pro golfer – shining his clubs until they look brand new and wearing his paisley jumper as if it’s some kind of fashion statement. If your dad is into his golf then make sure you take a look at our great golf breaks. Located in some of the finest hotels in the UK, you and the rest of the family can enjoy some down-time in the spa or restaurant while he and the other sporting enthusiasts hit the greens. Sounds like the perfect excuse for a weekend away!
Everyone loves a laugh, right? And we’ve got comedy tickets for some of the biggest names in comedy from around the world up for grabs! Whether you want an easy-to-reach comedy night at your local Jongleurs Club or fancy pushing the boat out with a trip to The O2 Arena, we’ll have the perfect package for you. One to keep your eye out for is Russell Howard’s O2 Arena appearance in December…a guaranteed sell out show.
This is definitely something my dad would love, although I’m not sure the Elland Road tour (Leeds United FC) would have much to show for itself! If, unlike me, you support a team with something to shout about, make sure you have a look at our Premier League Football Stadium tours for the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool. All of them include the museum too, so you can find out all about your favourite players from past decades.
If you can’t decide what dad would like, or would rather avoid the awkward silence when you hand him an unwanted gift, make it easy and just get him some of our gift vouchers. That way he can book whatever he likes and you still get all the credit!
What are thinking of buying your dad this year?
