There’s no doubt about it,  London is a truly magical place during Christmas. The famous Christmas lights on Oxford Street, the festive frenzie in Hamley’s down Regent Street and the warm mulled wine in Covent Garden markets; all these things and more make London the perfect place for a Christmas break.

But in recent years, they’ve only gone and added something to make Christmas in London even more special, and 2013 is no exception! Que Winter Wonderland… the greatest FREE Christmas event in our capital by a country mile.Here are a few reasons why we LOVE Winter Wonderland here at Superbreak:

Winter Wonderland is a huge Christmas paradise that has everything to keep couples, families and young single travellers amused for hours. Whilst the activities come at a price, entrance is absolutely free and is a great activity to keep the cost of a short break down during the festive period. You can easily stroll around Hyde Park, soaking up the festive atmosphere at minimal or absolutely no cost.

2. Its Fantastic for Kids

For those travelling with children there are lots of rides, attractions, games and of course, the chance to meet Santa himself in his grotto. Kids will also love the amazing ice scuptures!

3. It’s a Perfect Christmas Night Out

Adults will love the jolly atmosphere of the Barvarian beer stalls and alpine lodges where you can enjoy a few continental beers or maybe a warm mulled wine from day into night. Or if you fancy showing off your ice skating skills, the ice rink also open throughout the night complete with Christmas music and twinkling lights.

4. It’s a Great Excuse for a Foodie Feast

It’s also a foodie’s haven with loads of amazing food on offer that will keep you toasty on a chilly London evening.  From hog roasts, German sausages or traditional British fish & chips, you can get wonder around the many food stalls and take your pick.

5. It’s a Christmas Shopping Opportunity

If you are looking for gift ideas, the many Christmas market stalls have lots of novelty merchandise available if you want to give your loved ones something a little different this year.

So if you are planning a trip to London soon, then go and visit Winter Wonderland. The nearest tube station is Hyde Park Corner on the Piccadilly line if you don’t want to walk, and it’s open from 10am until 10pm every day from now until 5th January.
