London is a fantastic place to be at Christmas, with an array of festive lights, displays and decorations it offers a great atmosphere for your short break. If you are arriving into the city via rail then make sure you visit St Pancras station to see the amazing 10 metre high Lego Tree, constructed form 600,000 Lego bricks it’s a sight to behold and is on display at the station until the 2nd of January.

Walking though London you can take in the many decorations distributed throughout the city. From the renowned Regent Street lights, this year with the theme of the new Christmas film Arthur Christmas, to the displays in some of London’s biggest shops.

Discover a magical toy land at Hamleys with the chance to meet Father Christmas or take in the stunning window displays at Harrods and Selfridges, with Harrods Crystal Christmas inspired by Swarovski and Selfridges innovative Whispering Window. Don’t miss out on the Carnaby Christmas Decorations – who over the years have created exciting and different displays.

Why not try your hand at Ice Skating, with plenty of rinks across the city you are spoilt for choice. Whether skating at the London Eye, Somerset House or in the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland you’ll soon feel Christmassy.

Many London hotels have also gone all out, the Montague on the Gardens hotel has created a Winter Wonderland on its wooden decking featuring pine trees, falling snow, reindeer, snowmen, ski racks, piste maps and strings of fairy lights and lanterns, not to mention a bar which offers 12 different flavoured vodkas.
