December is just around the corner along with Christmas and New Year, and that means one thing…being busy, busy and even busier! As we all know, life can become pretty hectic around this time of year with all the present buying, Christmas day planning and New Year’s Eve celebrations. So hectic in fact, we sometimes overlook the fun and exciting bits involved with this time of year.

I propose we all take a moment to ‘breathe’ and make time to appreciate the fun stuff Christmas and New Year can offer, such as spending time with loved ones, enjoying all the sparkly decorations and eating as much delicious food as humanly possible. Simply organising a friendly meet-up over a festive cup of coffee or by setting aside an hour to relax in a hot bath with soothing music can do wonders for your festive spirit and get you through this notoriously busy month. And if that doesn’t work, there’s always January.

As well as beginning New Year resolutions, January is the perfect time to claim back some of those hours we lost in December. Lost through wondering how many sprouts are too many sprouts, which wrapping paper is more festive but not too festive, whether granny would really appreciate that seasonal onesie, or even time spent worrying about embarrassing antics at the work Christmas party. January is the time to let everything go and start again.
