Buying a present for my Mother-in-law June is always a challenge, and as this year was a special birthday I wanted it to be something memorable.  Luckily, one weekend in the run up to her big day she mentioned that she would love a Frankie Valli CD, and that she’d never been to London.  I’d just started work at Superbreak, so had the perfect solution – a London theatre break with tickets to see the Jersey Boys!  And to make sure she saw all the sights, I booked us on the Harrods Bus tour with Champagne afternoon tea. Here’s a photo diary of our trip…

I think June had a great time; the highlight was definitely the Jersey Boys. June told me that she had been to the local disco when she was 15 and used to dance to all the Four Seasons songs, I wouldn’t have missed seeing her dancing and singing along to every word for the world! It was definitely a break to remember.

Have you taken anyone on a birthday weekend in London? What were your highlights? Let us know in the comments below!
