The Mayor of London and TFL have announced that they hope to open a cable car to run from The O2 in Greenwich to The Excel Centre, Docklands. If approved it is due to open for The Olympics in 2012.

Such a cable car will not only provide valuable transport links between two top venues, but it will become a leading tourist attraction.

The views from the glass pods as it crosses The Thames will be amazing.

For Superbreak this initiative is even better news. Many of our guests for major Rock and Pop events at The O2 stay at hotels in and around the ExCel complex.

Imagine going to see your favourite band, staying in a lovely 4 star hotel at ExCeL and making the return journey to The O2 via cable car. The river below will contrast with the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf.

Lets hope London gets its Cable Car.
