2011 is already proving to be a year where childhood hero’s become a reality. The incredibly expensive Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark musical finally opened in New York after a massive 180-some preview performances! With an estimated price of over £43m and over 9 years in the making, this musical also has the added bonus of music legends Bono and The Edge co-writing the shows music and lyrics.

Like Spider-man, the plans for Batman Live are also now well under way with the show touring over the UK this summer. This live action arena tour will visit many cities including Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, London and Birmingham. Batman is already causing a lot of hype and promises to bring to life Gotham City and the DC Comic legend in an extravaganza of amazing stunts, acrobatic tricks and illusions.

Finally for all the Dr Who fans out there, there is the chance to get up close and personal with the TARDIS in the Doctor Who Experience. Held at London’s Olympia, this is sure to be a thrilling journey through time and space and a must for all Dr Who fans. This fully interactive experience also includes special scenes which have been filmed with the current Dr, Matt Smith as well as a breath taking 3-D finale.
