A sunny afternoon in June, but down in the bowels of London’s world famous Hospital Club, something dark, mysterious and utterly magical is about to begin…
This is the venue for the launch of IMPOSSIBLE, a phenomenal new magic show which will be playing in the West End for 5 weeks only from 24 July – 29 August at the Noël Coward Theatre in St Martins Lane, Covent Garden.
Combining state-of-the-art technological wizardry with traditional stage magic, the show breathes a breath of fresh air into the world of conjuring and illusion. So much so that during the launch I must have heard at least half a dozen people, in half a dozen different ways say, “I don’t like magic, but this is fantastic”.
Director Anthony Owen, the triple BAFTA-winning Executive Producer behind Channel 4’s Derren Brown, has brought together some truly world-class performers for IMPOSSIBLE: escapologist Jonathan Goodwin; sorceress Katherine Mills; grand illusionist Luis de Matos, mind-reader Chris Cox; digital conjurer Jamie Allan, boundary breaking magician Ben Hart, sleight of hand master Ali Cook, and explosive street illusionist Magical Bones.
And you know what? I have never liked magic shows, but IMPOSSIBLE has achieved the impossible… and I can’t wait to see this one!
