It’s a very busy morning here in the Superbreak office, as this morning is the launch of our Great British Break Off Competition. We decided to run this competition alongside a very exciting advertising campaign that is due to hit our screens today, which includes two iconic cartoon characters! We’ve teamed up with Visit England to spread the word about ‘Holidays at Home’ in Britain this summer (as short break specialists, we’re a big fan of UK breaks and staycations!).

The really exciting bit about the campaign is that we’ve worked with Visit England to bring  the famous Great British cartoons Wallace and Gromit back to life! Created by Aardman exclusively for Visit England, the people behind the famous plasticine duo have put together the brand new TV advert which airs for the first time this week.

The advert had us cracking up here in Superbreak HQ and we couldn’t wait to share it with you! So here it is, *drum roll please*…

If you fancy getting involved in the action, why not enter our Great British Break Off Competition? We’re giving away a fabulous weekend break to the 4* Low Wood Bay including 2 nights, dinner, bed and breakfast. We’re even throwing in a cruise on Lake Windermere and a gorgeous picnic hamper on arrival! Based right on the waters edge of Lake Windermere, we reckon Low Wood Bay is the perfect British escape.

To enter the competition, simply visit our Facebook page and submit a photo onto the competition tab that captures your ‘best British experience’. Whether it’s a trip to the seaside, snaps from the Queen’s jubilee or a simple Summer BBQ, we want you to capture the essence of Great Britain! The winner is to be selected by a judge at Visit England. Full T&C’s apply.

Oh and don’t forget, it you loved the advert like us, you can also check out the behind-the-scenes video of how the clever people at Aardman put it all together!
