Well, what can we say? We’ve absolutely loved reading about all your lovely short break adventures and believe us when we say… we’ve had a hard time whittling down the entries to find out who will become our SuperBreak Travel Writer 2014.

Fortunately the wait is almost over and we’ll be announcing the official (and very lucky) winner of The Ultimate London SuperBreak for two on Friday 1st August 2014. But before we hand over to our lovely Judge Blogger, Laura the Explorer to make her decision and crown our first ever winner, let’s take a look at the final 5 shortlisted entries she’ll be choosing from.

As always with a great competition, nobody goes home empty handed. All 5 runner-ups will receive £50 SuperBreak Vouchers plus their very own travel writer title. Congratulations to you all!

Natasha Daniels

“Brighton Theatre Break”

It was really great to see that Natasha had experienced such a memorable theatre break, especially one outside of the glitz and glam of the West End! From the irresistible pull of Brighton’s seaside charm to the story behind why they ended up at the theatre, this blog had us hooked from start to finish.

With plenty of theatre knowledge and a little added character, this post is great for those of you looking to put a spin on a traditional theatre break.

Conor Lochrie

“Discovering Paris’ Lesser Lights”

Conor gave himself the task of heading to Paris and not indulging in the obvious tourist hotspots, allowing him to discover parts of the city that perhaps only residents would ever enjoy. Wandering through the picturesque apartment blocks and, on occasion regretting not following the crowd, Conor finally came across that little piece of Parisian heaven.

For those amongst you who like to ditch the travel guide and prefer making your own memories, Conor’s post will be right up your street.

Natalie Stephens

“New Year’s Resolutions”

Natalie and her partner, Patrick decided that each month for the next 12, they would visit a brand new country! That in itself is a magical enough tale, but following them through their visit to Reykjavik, Iceland really made us fall in love with what they were trying to achieve. And we’re very jealous of their upcoming plans!

If you’re trying to think of some less obvious locations to discover, Natalie and Patrick offer up some great advice on where to visit and how to enjoy it once there.

Rachel Brown

“Trying out the country in beautiful Dartmoor”

Rachel knows how to plan a break in the countryside and understands that there’s more to roaming then just embracing the fresh country air. Exploring the surrounding areas, meeting the local wildlife and even braving the perils of nature – this girl has the spirit of a true SuperBreak Country Roamer.

If you’re looking for some inspiration on your next country break, Rachel offers a fantastic insight (with plenty of humour in tow) for exploring beautiful Dartmoor.

Sarah Christie

Family Adventurers Find Out What Is Great About Disneyland Paris”

Sarah and her family know more than a thing or two about Disneyland, and this shines through as she reveals all about her trip to Disneyland Paris with the kiddies. From enjoying the Halloween festivities to meeting their favourite Disney characters, it’s clear this is one family who know how to have a good time!

Offering lots of top tips and plenty of inspiration, we think Sarah’s got this family adventurer gig down to a tee.

All of the shortlisted entries above have won themselves £50 worth of SuperBreak vouchers, and one of these lucky five will be the overall winner which will be announced on August 1st. They’ll win the Ultimate SuperBreak and become our SuperBreak travel Writer 2014!
