Superbreak’s HPI Post Contracting Assistant Jacqueline O’Sullivan had already seen Pink once in concert before, but never got to see her famous acrobatics due to the singer’s injury! On April 27th, she went to see the sassy singer perform at the O2 for a second time, injury free! Find out what she thought of the whole thing…
We Stayed at the Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf which is directly opposite the O2. It’s so close you could swim! We caught the DLR up to Victoria Royal Dock so we could get the Emirates Cable Car across the river which has fantastic views of the Gherkin, Shard and the Thames Barrier, if you have a bit of a height phobia, do not attempt as this is higher than the O2 its self!
We went for a Thai as they offered an early bird menu, but as we arrived at 4.30 this wasn’t available (make sure you check to see what time the early bird menus begin before arriving). We might stick to Nandos next time! We enjoyed some pink drinks before the show which made the whole experience more enjoyable for everyone. The O2 bar staff were, as always, extremely helpful, and it seemed as if everyone enjoyed their experience.
P!NKs performance was AMAZING, this was the second time I’ve seen her at the O2 but last tour she had an injury so we didn’t get to see any of her acrobatics. This time we got to see them right from the start, when she was lowered on to the stage hanging by her feet from a trapeze! Following her incredible entrance she sang some fabulous tunes and then for the final flourish she did a quick fly around the arena strapped to a harness! WOW.
Our Affinity Marketing Manager Steve Street was also lucky enough to get his hands on some tickets. Being based down in London, he was just a hop skip and a jump away from the iconic O2 Arena.
Pink was definitely in the RED zone with her current Truth About Love Tour!Having seen Pink several times she is a performer that NEVER fails to deliver with her infectious “can’t get you out of my head” lyrics and her amazing non-stop energy. She had the 22K+ 02 audience rockin’ up until the very last song. Pink is a MUST SEE any time she is town. Miss her and you miss out on a truly unforgettable night.
It seems us Superbreakers go mad for Pink! Last but not least, our Lareina Fligg was also traveled down to see Pink at The O2. She was a big fan of the show so let us have a quick interview to find out about her experience…
Pink was amazing and was even better than my expectation. I have been to the O2 a few times now and pink was the best act I have seen, she worked the whole arena.
No I have been to the O2 a few times. The facilities are very clean and easy to find. There are lots of staff around the arena to help and ask questions if you don’t know your way around.
Yes normally we eat at the O2 but we had extra time, so we went to a local pub close to are hotel and had a drink and a meal. The meal was lovely and a very good price.
We stayed at the President hotel, the location was fantastic right in central London. The O2 was also very easy to get to we walked to Kings Cross (ten mins walk) then it was just one ten minute tube ride.
We stayed later at the O2 in one of the pubs and got a bus back and this again was very easy and the staff were very helpful about what bus to take.
I think the O2 is one of the best Arenas I have been to if not the best, it’s easy to get to the staff make you feel very welcome and public areas are very clean.
I will be going back to see Bruno Mars in October. I am also thinking of going back in late December early January to see Disney on Ice with my Son. That would be his 3rd visit and second time for Disney on ice. Again the staff make it very easy even when you have small child with you.
Did you see Pink @ The O2? Let us know what you thought!
