Superbreak’s Sales Advisor Trish Poole was one of the lucky few of our staff to see the mid-blowing Cirque Du Soleil at The O2 last week! Here’s her review on the incredible show…

Alegria

I travelled down to London on the 10.27am Grand Central train from York arriving into London at 12.29pm, getting the underground to London Bridge , then a train onto Grove Park where my friend was picking me up. I stayed with her so did not stay in a hotel. We had a really nice day visiting another friend before it was time for us to get ready to go to the O2.

We left her house  for the 20 minute drive to the O2 to see Cirque du Soleil. I have wanted to see them for as long as I can remember and we were so excited we could hardly wait to get there. We thought we would have a drink at the 02 before the event….well it was such a beautiful hot summers  day! We thought it would be a nice leisurely drive …no chance …. the whole world and his brother decided to go out in their cars!!!!   What should have been a 20 minute journey turned into an hour and 20….we rushed to get there, still we  made it in time….no drink before the show though.

Once inside the 02, we made our way to our seats and sat and people watched…of course!

I love watching an arena  filling l up , this never seems to take too long. Then all of a sudden the show began. The White Queen Singer kindly asked all to put camera’s, mobile phones and any recording equipment anyone might have way  as it is very dangerous to use flashes whilst the acrobats are performing.

Alegria means Jubilation in Spanish and it certainly filled us all with joy to watch these amazing acrobats. Cirque du Soleil lived up to all expectations and more…

I had goosebumps watching the synchronized trapeze , Fire-knife dance and Russian Bars.

My favourites were the Power Track ( a group of acrobats performing twists and flips over a X shaped track). The timing was incredible and  Manipulation which was an act with hand ribbons and hula hoops which left us in awe and thinking , I must try this at home…..

The clowns certainly entertained and got the biggest cheer of the night

I wanted to sit there and watch it go on and on, sadly all good things do come to an end and the show finished. It really did leave us wanting more. We headed off to the car park to make our journey home..we are looking to get tickets to go and see it elsewhere…

To describe Cirque du Soleil in one word…SPECTACULAR !!!!!
