Having never visited The O2 Arena, I was beyond excited to go to my first show here – let alone the fact I was seeing Ed Sheeran! The arena itself is impressive; I didn’t realise how many restaurants and bars are within the complex, you’ve got masses to choose from. And it makes it easy to stop for a drink after the show too.

The arena was full too the brim, and rightly so. Ed Sheeran is an amazing artist, and he really didn’t disappoint. Some people may assume that one guy and his guitar wouldn’t be enough to really grab an audience of 20,000, but he pulls you in and you can’t look away! His voice is sublime – beautiful and beyond powerful. The songs he writes are ingenious with emotion, wit and humour. And his skills with his guitar and loop pedal mean he doesn’t need anyone or anything else.

He entertains the crowd, getting you to join in with your mobile phone lights and clapping. The sight of this huge arena all doing this in time was like nothing I’ve seen before!

I was lucky enough to be there on a night when he brought on a member of the band Snow Patrol onto the stage. Between them they sung the band’s amazing song, Chasing Cars. This cover made the stadium go insane, and hearing Ed perform such a great song live was fantastic.

I didn’t see one person leave the arena without a beaming grin – everyone was raving about his performance, and I certainly won’t stop. It’ll be a hard show to beat, he really was AMAZING!
