When Superbreak’s Product Development Executive, Annette Hogan got the chance to see Rod Stewart live, she just couldn’t believe her luck. Read on to find out if the iconic singer-songwriter lived up to her expectations…
Very excited as we were off to see Rod Steward, who I have absolutely loved since my teens. A lifetime opportunity!
We decided to eat at Canary Wharf as we felt the O2 might have been a bit busy and this was a great choice, as it’s only one stop away from the O2 on the Jubilee Line and was empty as it’s really a weekday location and quite civilised during the weekend. We had dinner at Byron Burgers and the food was excellent. We were able to eat and still have time to look around the shops. Would definitely go back there to eat!
The O2 is a great location, everything is very smoothly run, and getting there and getting in doesn’t mean queuing.
Rod Stewart was amazing! We went on his last date in London and the O2 was packed. He was as good as he has ever been, does this guy ever get old! Everyone in the audience knew the words to his songs and sang along, the atmosphere was electric! He included his daughter for a couple of songs, and she is definitely her fathers’ daughter, having a great voice and presence.
Surprisingly the tube station coped well at the end of the gig with the amount of people exiting.
